March 2013: Banking Conditions: Solid Improvement, but Further to Go
This issue continues our analysis of the ongoing recovery in banking conditions in the Western United States. We remind readers of the importance of staying updated on the continuing regulatory changes in mortgage rules, the SAFE Act, and the use of credit rating agencies. In addition, we call attention to recent speeches by Federal Reserve Board Governor Elizabeth Duke, and Federal Reserve Bank President John Williams, on community banking and monetary policy.
