Asia Financial Crisis series was inaugurated by Janet Yellen, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, who spoke at an event co-sponsored with the Asia Society Southern California and the Pacific Council on International Policy. Her topic was "Perspectives on the Asian Financial Crisis Ten Years Later: Assessing the Past and Looking to the Future."
