Final Rule Simplifying and Reorganizing Regulation H (Docket
R-0964)
The Federal Reserve Board has announced adoption of a final rule which
revises Regulation H. This rule removes outdated material, updates and
reorganizes the remaining material, and incorporates provisions designed
to reduce burden on State member banks.
The final rule is effective October 1, 1998.
Final Rule Rescinding Regulation P (Docket
R-0965)
The Board is rescinding Regulation P, which is no longer necessary since
its provisions have been incorporated into Regulation H. Regulation P
requires each bank to adopt appropriate security procedures.
The final rule is effective October 1, 1998.
