AUTOMATED EXAMINATION TOOLS
To Member Banks,
Bank Holding Companies,
and Others Concerned
in the Twelfth Federal Reserve District
Standardized Data Elements for Use with Automated Tools
In an effort to streamline the examination process, the Federal Reserve
System and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have developed several
automated examination tools for use in consumer compliance and CRA examinations.
The tools rely on the voluntary submission of electronic data and will
enable examiners and supervisory staff to perform analytic tasks faster
and more accurately. A letter from the agencies outlining the program
is enclosed for your information.
As part of our preparation for each examination, we will be discussing
with you how these automated processes can best facilitate a more efficient
and effective examination.
