COMMENT PERIOD DEADLINE EXTENDED ON PROPOSALS TO ALLOW DISCLOSURES VIA ELECTRONIC MEDIA

To Member and Nonmember Banks,
Bank Holding Companies, and
Others Concerned in the Twelfth Federal Reserve District

The Federal Reserve Board has extended the comment period on proposals to allow electronic delivery of federally mandated disclosures. On September 14, 1999, the Board published revised proposals for public comment under five consumer protection regulations: B (Equal Credit Opportunity), E (Electronic Fund Transfers), M (Consumer Leasing), Z (Truth in Lending), and DD (Truth in Savings). The original deadline for public comment, originally October 29, 1999, has been extended to November 15, 1999.
