| The mission of the Center for Community Development Investments (the Center) is to support the long-term growth of the community development investment industry by serving as a national center for research, training, pilot initiatives, and policy-making discussions. |

| What Does the Center Do? |
 |
- Disseminates community development investment resources on the Internet and through an online newsletter to financial institutions and other investors;
- Convenes national community development investments conferences to raise awareness and encourage discussion, replication, and innovation; and
- Provides online training and links to training opportunities for investors.

| Goals of the Center |
 |
- Help financial institutions better comply with the CRA investment test;
- Facilitate the sharing of successful community development investment strategies in the hope that they will be replicated;
- Provide policy-makers and public policy advocates with research and data that can help shape local and national policies;
- Provide training to consumer compliance and safety and soundness examiners regarding the regulatory treatment of community development investments;
- Provide concrete data on the risks, returns, and impact of community development investing;
- Encourage more research to be conducted on community development investing;
- Encourage more innovation in the field; and
- Encourage non-bank entities, including foundations, Financial Holding Companies, insurance companies, and investment banks to explore community development investments.
