The Healthy Communities conferences bring together health practitioners and community development workers in a series of conversations across the United States. Based on a common understanding of how social and health issues are deeply intertwined, participants explore collaborative efforts in promoting better health for low-income communities. The topics discussed include potential partnerships between health and government foundations and traditional community development programs, and the increase of knowledge-sharing between these sectors.
