A bank account makes it easier for individuals to access subsidies that lower the expense of their health insurance; however, many low- and moderate-income individuals do not own a bank account. This presents opportunities for hospitals and financial institutions to educate individuals on the benefits of owning a bank account and to collaborate to promote a healthier community.
