Event Description

The Roundtable is an association of financial institutions in Nevada.  Its purpose is to enhance understanding and meet the requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act.  Through participation in the Roundtables, financial institutions share their resources and knowledge to effectively ascertain and address community credit needs.

This Roundtable will highlight a “Review of Financial Education Program Evaluation Research” by Laura Choi, Research Associate, FRBSF.  In addition, an “Examiner’s Panel” will talk about “CRA, Compliance and Fair Lending Today”.  This will be a great opportunity to hear insights from the Examiners and to ask your questions.

We will also learn about a new Asset Building Coalition forming in the North and hear updates from the Nevada Foreclosure Task Force, including the work of a HUD/City/County group focused on Neighborhood Stabilization.  In addition we will have a special presentation from Kathy Somers, City of North Las Vegas, who will join us to talk about the exciting events taking place in the North Valley (formerly the 40-block area) as well as the continuing challenges facing this community.
