Event Description

Neighborhood Stabilization Program
The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was established for the purpose of stabilizing communities that have suffered from foreclosures and abandonment. Through the purchase and redevelopment of foreclosed and abandoned homes and residential properties, the goal of the program can be realized. Learn how your financial institution can collaborate with jurisdictions to make the program work.

Tax Credit Investing
Given the state of the markets today, tax credits are becoming a more viable investment alternative with a double bottom line of meeting your institutions investment needs and potentially getting you CRA credit.  Current returns for tax credit funds are targeting 9-10% depending on the structure of the investor fund.  Mark Kantor from Kantor Taylor Nelson & Boyd will provide an overview of tax credit investing and the risks and returns commonly found in funds.  Megan Ryan and Robin Hyerstay from Enterprise Community Investment will provide some examples of funds and detailed information on how these funds can help you with your CRA ratings.
