Event Description

The federal banking regulators are gathering to present the second 2012 convening of the Greater Sacramento Community Development Forum. You are cordially invited to participate in this event on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Samuel C. Pannell Meadowview Community Center from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm Our first convening, held on May 17, 2012, was a facilitated session that yielded a rich discussion of the foremost issues the participants felt were of concern to the residents of the Greater Sacramento-area. Working Groups covering the topics of Financial Education/Asset Building, Small Business and Workforce Development were established, and have been meeting to develop their projects. We will focus our forum meetings each quarter on a topic, or topics, that will inform our bank and community-based organization members about programs and issues that, we anticipate, will encourage partnering opportunities to help provide solutions. We are honored that Michael Paparian, Executive Director of the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), will be joining us to provide an overview of the initiative. We count on your participation to address strategies that will assist Sacramento-area residents with their small business, asset-building and financial education, homeownership, and workforce development needs. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:30AM, and the program will start at 9:00AM. Please join us – we look forward to seeing you!
