The number of foreclosure related mitigation programs in California has multiplied in recent years. So has the number of real estate fraud cases. It can be quite confusing for legislative staff to keep track of current events and actions taken to protect the constituents they represent.
To assist the staff in staying informed of current trends in foreclosure mitigation and real estate fraud prevention, the NHS of Los Angeles County and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco are hosting a half day training session at the NHS office.
Come learn from Katie Porter, the CA Monitor, and a team of local consumer advocates and enforcement agents what is being done to preserve homeownership and combat real estate fraud. You will also find out just how you can participate in protecting your constituents. We will discuss the Homeowner’s Bill of Rights, the Consent Decree, HARP, HAMP, Keep Your Home California, the HOPE Hotline, and the National Mortgage Settlement and the California Amendment.
This is a very special “don’t miss” event for the staff of elected officials only. It is a closed private meeting and is not open to the public.
