Internships
at the Federal Reserve
Life in the real world shouldn’t
begin on your last day of school. So if you’re
a college student searching for the atypical summer
project, then consider an internship opportunity with
the Federal Reserve.
The Internship Program
provides college students with opportunities to develop
good work
habits and gain sound professional skills in many areas,
including Corporate Strategy, Banking Supervision and
Regulation, and Audit. The Federal Reserve has employed
a number of interns as Project Analysts, Researchers,
and even in limited management roles. In addition to
a meaningful and challenging experience, the Program
introduces you to full-time career opportunities after
graduation.
Further,
we work closely with InRoads to offer talented minority
students the opportunity to
grow and become significant contributors to the success
of the Federal Reserve. InRoads is dedicated to the early
access and cultivation of students with managerial potential — and
we’re there to help you along the way.
Interns are usually assigned
to one department and typically work part-time during
the academic year and full-time
during the summer months. As an integral member of the
department, you’ll have the opportunity to attend
Federal Reserve functions and participate in department
activities, network with management, and gain valuable
experience through peer and mentor programs.
Program Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate
student status
- Solid academic records
- Outstanding communication
skills
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing,
knowledge of Lotus Notes software, and familiarity
with operating both PC and LAN computer systems
a plus.
