Personal Finance Workshops for high school students now available in Phoenix

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is pleased to announce the launch of personal finance workshops for high school students at our Phoenix Processing Center. Personal finance workshops are available following a scheduled tour and support Arizona’s economics curriculum requirement (Concept 5: Personal Finance). Discussion topics include:

  • relationship between education and income level
  • hands-on budgeting practice
  • Rule of 72
  • the relationship between investment risk and projected rate of return
  • practical ways to boost income and reduce expenses

Please bring your students and help us launch the Phoenix program on April 5 and 6, 2011. Tours and a personal finance workshop will be offered at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and last approximately two hours. Space is limited; advance reservations are required.

Following the April 5 & 6 launch event, personal finance workshops will be available by appointment only following a tour of our Phoenix Processing Center Monday through Thursday at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.
