Speech Requests

Speech requests from the public are coordinated through the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Public Information (PI) Department. The mission of the PI Department is to facilitate greater public understanding of the Federal Reserve System and its functions, policies, and operations. The department is headquartered in San Francisco, with management and professional staff located in each branch office.

Typical speech topics include:

  • Purposes and Functions of the Federal Reserve System
  • Banking Regulations
  • Economic Conditions
  • Financial Services

Generally, we fulfill requests from nonprofit/not-for-profit organizations. Providing as much lead time as possible increases the chances that the request can be accommodated.
