Seattle, WA – April 29, 2009 – The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has appointed Patrick G. Yalung, Washington regional president, Wells Fargo & Company, to the Seattle Branch board of directors. The appointment is effective immediately.

Wells Fargo & Company is a diversified financial services company with $1.3 trillion in assets, providing banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and consumer finance through more than 10,400 stores, over 12,000 ATMs and the internet (wellsfargo.com) across North America and internationally.

Mr. Yalung joined Wells Fargo in 1983 and over the years has held various positions of increasing responsibility. He was promoted to his current role in November 2005. Before coming to the Puget Sound area, Mr. Yalung served as regional president for Wells Fargo in Greater Arizona.

Mr. Yalung is a member of the Pacific Coast Banking School administrative board and the Washington Bankers Association board of directors. He is also a member of the National Board of Advisors for the University of Arizona Eller College of Business and Public Administration. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona in 1982 and is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Other members of the Seattle Branch board include Helvi K. Sandvik (chair), NANA Development Corporation; William S. Ayer, Alaska Air Group; Richard A. Galanti, Costco Wholesale Corporation; Ada M. Healey, Vulcan Incorporated; Carol K. Nelson, Cascade Financial Corporation; and Stan W. McNaughton, PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company.

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, with branch offices in Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Portland, and a cash processing office in Phoenix, provides wholesale banking services to financial institutions throughout the nine western states.
