Senior Vice President Adrian Rodriguez oversees the development and execution of the San Francisco Fed’s enterprisewide communications strategy and its engagement and outreach efforts to key constituencies. He provides strategic leadership and direction for the Bank’s internal and external communications including executive communications, employee engagement activities, public relations, reputation management, and intranet and public website content management. He also manages the Bank’s economic education, community development, and government relations activities.
Mr. Rodriguez serves as a strategic advisor to President John C. Williams and is a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee. He is a member of the Federal Reserve System’s Conference of Presidents Subcommittee on Public Information, which provides guidance on the Fed’s overall communication and engagement strategies.
Prior to joining the Bank in 2013, Mr. Rodriguez served as the chief communications officer at MetLife, where he directed the company’s global communications strategy and served as primary communications counsel to executive management. His career spans 25 years of broad strategic communications and management experience in the financial services sector.
Mr. Rodriguez holds a bachelor of science degree in public relations and organizational communications from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a member of the board of trustees for the Institute for Public Relations and a member of the Corporate Executive Council.
