The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco board of directors appointed Lee C. Dwyer general auditor and group vice president in May 2005. She currently serves on the Steering Committee of the Federal Reserve System’s Conference of General Auditors (COGA), chaired COGA’s Committee on Audit Standards and Effectiveness from 2007 to 2009, and served as a member of the Committee on System Auditing.
Prior to her role as general auditor, Dwyer held increasing roles of responsibility, including leadership responsibility for many of the Bank’s key operations: Check Operations and Adjustments, Fedwire Funds and Security Payments, Treasury Auction, TreauryDirect, Treasury Tax and Loan, Automated Clearing House, Electronic Access Support, and Districtwide Customer Support. In addition, Dwyer coordinated one of the Bank’s management development programs. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 1987, she provided program and project management support at the St. Louis Reserve Bank. Dwyer graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Denison University and an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
Dwyer serves on the Board of the San Francisco Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and is a certified fraud examiner.
