Lina Stepick, PhD

Lina Stepick joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 2021. They are a mixed methods sociologist, focusing on the Community Development priority area of promoting a thriving labor force. Prior to joining the San Francisco Fed, Dr. Stepick was on faculty with the University of Oregon Labor Education and Research Center, conducting applied research on low-wage work, unstable scheduling, carework, and racial equity. Dr. Stepick received a Ph.D. and M.A. in Sociology from UCLA as a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow and a B.A. in Sociology, Anthropology, and Gender Studies from Dartmouth College.
