Conference Description
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Center for Pacific Basin Studies will hold its 2023 Asia Economic Policy Conference (AEPC) on November 16-17, 2023 at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. The theme of the conference is “Global Linkages in a Post-Pandemic World.” The organizing committee invites submissions of research papers addressing, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Macro and distributional effects of global supply chain pressures
- Inflation in a post-pandemic world
- Offshoring or reshoring
- Spillover of U.S. monetary policy tightening for Asia and other emerging market economies
- Capital flows and capital account policies in Asia and other EMEs
- Trade flows and trade policies
- China’s growth prospects and implications for other economies
Submission of Papers
Submissions should be sent in PDF format to sf.er.pacific.basin@sf.frb.org by March 31, 2023. Completed papers are preferred. The conference papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of International Money and Finance, subject to editorial reviews for publication. We will also post working paper versions of the conference papers online. We plan to hold the conference in-person in San Francisco. Fundings for economy-class travels and two nights of hotel accommodation will be provided for one presenting participant per paper. In addition, we provide an honorarium of $7500 for each included paper.
