Philip B. Johnson
Philip B. Johnson is senior vice president of District Cash Operations, Facilities and Workplace Services at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this capacity, he advances strategic leadership and oversight to the District’s five offices that provide currency and coin processing operations to the western United States; is responsible for the Bank’s facilities and workplace services functions; and contributes his expertise in supporting several currency and coin initiatives of the Federal Reserve System. He is an active member in various committees, employee resource groups and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Johnson joined the Los Angeles Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 1999 and has held various managerial positions in District Cash, Facilities and Planning, as well as the National Cash Product Office. In 2013 he relocated to the Head Office to assume his duties as Vice President of District Administrative Services and Facilities Management. He was then promoted to senior vice-president and chief financial officer for the Twelfth District to lead Strategy & Risk, Finance & Procurement and Statistics & Reserves.
Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Mr. Johnson managed two of his own businesses and has over 25 years of experience in the retail field. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace science, and Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Westminster College of Salt Lake City, and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
