Jon Ford joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Development department in 2021. As Regional Manager for Arizona, Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa, Jon leverages three decades of for-profit and non-profit experience to help communities develop transformational change in support of the Federal Reserve’s dual mandate. This includes cross-sector work with public and private partners on issues such as attainable housing, childcare, small business development, and climate challenges that are part and parcel of the social and economic determinants of health and well-being.
Prior to joining the SF Fed, Jon spent 15 years at Vitalyst Health Foundation building an innovation-centered network of stakeholders focused on all aspects of health and well-being, driving all of the foundation’s communications functions, and crystallizing initiatives that furthered Vitalyst’s mission. He has extensive expertise in issue framing and communications that stems from 18 years in private sector advertising and public relations. Jon earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his masters in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University.
