Join us for a live discussion on generative AI and worker productivity with Michael Schwarz, chief economist at Microsoft, and Sylvain Leduc, director of Economic Research at the San Francisco Federal Reserve.

There is tremendous interest in how AI can increase people’s productivity at work. To meet this interest, Microsoft published a lab-based study in December 2023 and followed-up with a field research study in July 2024.

Results suggest that the positive productivity effects observed in a lab setting are indeed beginning to manifest in real-world work, and, perhaps even more importantly, the results show how generative AI can provide even greater impact as work practices evolve.

Our speakers will discuss how researchers are incrementally learning more about the impact of AI in practice as greater numbers of people gain access to generative AI tools and use them to perform everyday jobs.

The discussion will be livestreamed on this page, and a recording will be available after the event. We invite you to register and submit a question.
