Education & Outreach at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco will host an afternoon program in conjunction with the National Council for the Social Studies annual conference featuring Mary C. Daly, executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Dr. Daly will discuss the importance of diversity in economics, and why it’s imperative to have diverse perspectives when determining monetary policy.
In addition, you will be able to explore the San Francisco Fed’s interactive museum exhibits, view an extensive and priceless collection of historical U.S. currency, and enjoy a behind the scenes tour of the Fed’s cash operations. The event will conclude with a reception where you’ll have an opportunity to network with colleagues and Fed representatives.
