Oregon

With a dramatic coastline, natural treasures like Mt. Hood, Crater Lake, and the Columbia River Gorge, and cultural attractions in cities like Portland, Bend, and Salem, leisure and hospitality are leading industries in the state of Oregon, as it hosts tens of millions of tourists each year. In addition, sports footwear and apparel, semiconductors, and a thriving food, beer, and wine scene are big drivers of the local economy. The state is home to the SF Fed’s Portland branch office, with staff dedicated to regional, business, and community outreach, national incident response, application development, and customer service to financial institutions located in the area.
