Washington
Anchored by industries such as aerospace, agriculture and food manufacturing, high tech, and life sciences and healthcare, Washington, like the rest of the Twelfth District, has a diverse, dynamic economy. It features both the District’s second largest non-farm workforce and its second largest manufacturing export sector. The state is home to the SF Fed’s Seattle branch. Opened in 1917, the branch moved to Renton, Washington in 2008 to enlarge the branch’s cash processing capabilities.
