Chi Elder

Regional Engagement Officer

Chi Elder serves as a regional engagement officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this role, she fosters trusted relationships with leaders in the business and banking sectors in Southern California. Prior to joining the San Francisco Fed, Chi served as the vice president and market manager for Citi Community Relations. She was responsible for managing community engagement activities in Southern California and Nevada, cultivating and managing stakeholder partnerships, aligning resources with priorities of the Citi Foundation, and connecting social impact driven data, research, and evaluation to thought leadership and strategic messaging in a highly regulated industry.

Chi served as an appointed Public Member of the State of California’s Department of Consumer Affairs’ Professional Fiduciary Bureau advisory committee and was elected as Chair of the committee for two terms. Chi also provided insights on community and economic development initiatives as a member of numerous committees and boards, including the San Diego City-County Reinvestment Task Force, San Diego Mayor’s Middle-Income Housing Work Group, Mayor’s Small Business Advisory Board; and served on the boards of nonprofits, including the Union of Pan Asian Communities, Local Initiatives Support Corporation – San Diego, and MiraCosta College’s Umoja Program.
