Ian Galloway serves as vice president and regional executive of the Portland Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this role, he fosters trusted relationships with leaders in the business and banking sectors in Oregon, Southern Washington, and the Idaho panhandle. Through ongoing engagement and dialogue, Ian gathers real-time information on local economic conditions, adding important context to quantitative data and analyses that the Federal Reserve uses to guide its decision making and policies. He is a senior leader who represents the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in the region and leads the development and facilitation of the Bank’s Portland Branch Board of Directors. He also has a key role in the development of the Bank’s advisory councils.

Ian joined the San Francisco Fed in 2007. Since then, he has worked in several roles to advance the Bank’s commitment to building a stronger economy for all Americans. Most recently, Ian served as the Bank’s regional field manager for the state of Oregon and led the Bank’s community development finance team.

Ian received a master of public policy degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor of arts degree from Colgate University.
