Section 309 of the Riegle Community Development and Regulatory Improvement Act of 1994 (the “Riegle Act“), requires the Federal banking agencies, including the Board, to maintain an independent, intra-agency appellate process for review of material supervisory determinations.

Contact the Ombuds regarding concerns or issues resulting from the regulatory activities of the Board or the Reserve Banks.

The formal processes for resolving disputes, including procedures for appealing material supervisory determinations, are available through SR 20-28 / CA 20-14, “Internal Appeals Process for Material Supervisory Determinations and Policy Statement Regarding the Ombudsman for the Federal Reserve System”
