  1. Seattle serves the largest geographic area in the Federal Reserve System, including Washington State, Oregon, northern Idaho, Alaska, and a few customers in Hawaii.

  2. It moved into its new facility in February 2008, which is the newest operation in the 12th District. The new building includes state-of-the-art equipment like an automated vault and a one-of-a-kind Bundling, Conveying and Packaging System.

  3. The Portland Cash Operation closed in 2005 and was absorbed by the Seattle office. Portland is now a Depot site for the storage and transfer of cash, one of only ten in the Federal Reserve System.
