Seawalls and Stilts: A Quantitative Macro Study of Climate Adaptation

Stephie Fried is an assistant professor of economics at Arizona State University and an affiliate of the CESifo research network. She received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on environmental economics and its implications for the macroeconomy. Her most recent work, forthcoming in American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, investigates how technological advances in non-carbon energy affect the cost of reducing emissions.

This seminar is part of the Virtual Seminar on Climate Economics series hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and is open to everyone interested in research on the economics of climate change.
