The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency are convening a “California Financial Inclusion Forum” on May 14, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm PDT.

Designed for California bankers, staff of community-based organizations, and agencies working on economic inclusion, this event will support expanded access to financial services for underserved communities in California. The event will showcase a range of credit products offered by banks and CDFIs to help low- and moderate-income individuals build wealth, including through the purchase of homes or financing of small businesses.

In addition, industry leaders will explore promising practices to increase credit access for underserved groups like Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) holders and those with thin credit files or no/low credit scores. Lastly, participants will discuss new CRA partnership opportunities to meet community credit needs throughout California.

This event is hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
