The Search Process

The responsibility for appointing a new president is held by the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank Class B and Class C directors–those unaffiliated with regulated banks or financial institutions. Diversified Search, one of the nation’s leading search firms, will assist in the search process.

The Bank’s Class B and Class C directors formally appoint a candidate, subject to the approval of the Board of Governors.
